Broadgate Tower, London
BAM has been appointed by British Land to lead the £100 million green transformation of Broadgate Tower near Liverpool Street. Built in 2008, the 34-storey building will undergo a major refresh to create modern workspaces designed to support users’ wellbeing and reduce the building’s environmental impact.
The work will transform Broadgate Tower into a highly desirable workplace, strategically located between the City of London’s financial district and the creative, tech-driven hubs of Shoreditch and Old Street.
The scheme is targeting BREEAM Outstanding, alongside an EPC A rating and WELL certification pre-conditions. Circular economy principles will limit embodied carbon, with a hybrid pavilion structure incorporating reused steelwork and Cross Laminated Timber. The project also prioritises social value, working with the City of London to support employment and skills, including several apprenticeships, local procurement, and engagement with schools and colleges.
Barcol-Air UK provided 36 ea VAV units with airflow & control in cooperation with Air-Concepts.
